Thompson topcoat with Thinsulate®

Thompson topcoat with Thinsulate® is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value for the cash; VERY trim 5'7", 145#, and a 36 fits me like a sausage casing. I'm not sure what size I'd have to buy to make this fit over a suit. Very nice, substantial coat for the price, otherwise.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Size up one size I have this in 2 colors runs true to size so if your gonna wear a blazer underneath size up because it will be tight if you don't over all great topcoat especially for the price, I get pure compliments ever time I put either one on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for the money I haven't had very much success online clothes shopping so I'm always leery it seems to make another purchase bc most everything gets returned due to fit issues. It seems like j. Crews fit is always on so I bought this in the navy and charcoal. I'm 5'9", 175lbs, stocky build. I usually wear a size 42r jacket. I decided to size down on this as I hadn't intended to wear it over a sport coat or suit and it fits perfect. Not as soft as ones with cashmere so it's a tad bit itchy around the neck but who cares for the value. Throw on a scarf and you're all good. Thanks J. Crew. You guys are the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from May need to size up. They hit this one out of the ball park with quality! It is a nice heavy, warm coat...the thinsulate is a great touch. While it is not incredibly soft as coats of cashmere, it is not overly scratchy either and it has the durability of wool, it should give many years of service. The one caveat is to order a size up if you want this to fit over a sport coat. I did not do this as I was always taught you should start with your sport coat size and maybe size up one if necessary, that "top coats" should be designed to fit comfortably over the top of suit/sport coats of the same size, hence the name. Being sold out of the next size up I will keep this one as it is an otherwise great fit and quality coat. I guess such is the wonderful world of mail ordering clothes and shoes what do you do with no bricks and mortar store available?
