Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4" Chino Short I ordered several pairs in multiple colors. Love the color options, the length and fit of the shorts. The material is thinner and softer than those you buy in the store, but I actually like it because it's cooler in the hot weather. Unfortunately had to return for a new size as the waiste was too big. Nothing wrong with the shorts, I just lost a few pounds after ordering them. New ones fit great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Fitting Shorts from J.Crew Factory I've tried the 5" and 3" inseam shorts and they are either too long of short. I have these in white and wear them very often. I will say they are a little see through, but not too much of a problem. I took off one star because I wish the color selection was better (like navy, pink, coral, and yellow maybe) and I never ever see them in stores! There is only the 3" and 5" inseams in stores and it's frustrating because I like to try on clothes in stores before I buy. Also, beware because THESE SHRINK! You might want to order a size up if you don't have time to hang dry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK shorts These shorts are fine and fit like the regular J Crew shorts. The fabric is a lighter and is more wrinkle prone though. They are fine shorts for the summer, nothing special to write home about.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Glad I bought on sale These seemed like they'd be OK, but they lay really funny (after I washed them, unfortunately, so I can't return) and the material is light and feels cheap. I love the J Crew Chinos and I thought these were the same, not remembering or realizing that the Factory ones are considerably different in weight. Also, as soon as I washed them, threads started to come loose. I'm bummed because I used to really count on J Crew for quality and I just don't feel like they are as committed as they once were. Sad, indeed, because the styles are lovely.
