Knit racerback maxi dress in stripe

Knit racerback maxi dress in stripe is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfy I'm 5'4" and an athletic 125lbs. Factory always runs big, so I purchased the XS. If anything, it's still too big. I'll be keeping the dress because it's SO comfortable and easy to wear, but wish it hugged the curves a bit better!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfy, lightweight, and petite friendly This maxi is super soft and a great length for petites. I am 5' 2" and XXS hit me an inch or so above my ankles. Be aware that the fabric is thin, and might be a little translucent in bright light, but not too bad. I've worn it twice and nothing has stretched out or unraveled, so quality seems good. The sizing seems typical for J Crew Factory, where I usually have to buy 0 p or 00 p in tops, and XXS just grazes the body without being tight.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Love the look - not the length This dress was going to be a perfect summertime staple. I ordered an XS knowing vanity sizing is typically an issue - I'm 5'4" and a 4-6 dress size. The top fit great, the colors were perfect, a lovely denim-y hue of blue and the stripes were flattering, as was the cut of the top. Problem was the length - SO short! I exchanged for a small - the top was way too baggy and it was STILL too short. Just something off - would be a great maxi for those closer to 5". Bummer!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Misleading description; misleading sizing What a waste of nice material and a modern design concept. JCrew - where is you quality control where it comes to actual style interpretation, sizing and accurate website description? Gave this item one star because: 1. This dress is not a maxi. I am a lanky 5'5" and the dress falls short, more than 3" above my ankles. Maxi (imo) should graze arches of my feet. It's not a midi either. It's neither fish or fowl. How very misleading. 2. It runs huge. There is a point where vanity sizing turns insulting. I don't need JCrew's stylish little fashionistas' uppity & ridiculous sizing practices. I like myself just fine. JCrew, as a clothing retailer, please make sure that when I buy an item online that 1. it is what you say it is, ie. indeed a maxi rather than a hybrid, and 2. that the size is what you say it is, ie. an XS rather than an actual M. I hate to play your hit-and-miss guessing games. My time is valuable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super comfy summer dress! I actually just wore this dress last night for the first time and it was super comfortable. I ordered a large originally, but found it to be a little big and reordered it in medium along with a navy one for my daughter. (She loved hers too). As other reviewers said, it's not real long, but that is what I like about it. I'm 5' 4" and it looked great with my platform sandals. Usually long dresses are too long for us average sized people. I love the racer back style of it too. Gives it a little something extra.
