Rated 2 out of 5 by creviewer J Crew's Vanity Sizing Has Hit New WIDE Heights
Body - Short/petite. Thin frame. 5'3" 115 - 120 lbs.
Style/Quality - It's a nice vibrant print. The color is true to screen. The fabric is a weave like fabric. The skirt is lined, has a hidden zipper and 100% cotton.
Sizing - J Crew vanity sizing sucks. I USED to be a size 0 in factory/regular. The size 0 USED to hit my natural waist perfectly. This skirt in a size 0 hits at my hip bones. The skirt hangs oddly on my body. The hem now below my knees.
I put a the J crew Garden Floral Pencil skirt in a SIZE 2 over it and GUESS WHAT! The waist on the SIZE 2 skirt is SMALLER than the SIZE 0 skirt! It's larger by 2". The hips are the same size.
I'm not paying $5 to exchange because J Crew wants play sizing games with customers. Very disappointed. The other items I purchased from my order also suffered from the same sizing discrepancies.
Measurements - Waist - 14.75" Length - ~20.5" Hips - 18"
Measurements from the SIZE 2 - Waist - 13" Length - 21" Hips - 18"

Rated 3 out of 5 by Victoria Pretty skirt, but runs HUGE
Grabbed this skirt in my usual size 6, and was shocked by how big it was when I tried it on. I've noticed that sizing has gotten more "generous" at J. Crew in recent years, but this was way beyond what I'm used to. I had to size down to a 2(!), and when I got home, I was able to confirm that it was in fact wider than a size 4 pencil skirt I bought from J. Crew two seasons ago (after the sizing had already started creeping up.) I appreciate the flattery, I guess, but with a 27.5" waist and 38" hip, I shouldn't be a size 2.

This skirt is in such a cute print, but the fit is disappointing. The waist is too wide, and the overall fit is just too boxy. For a pencil skirt, I would expect it to be tapered in at the bottom, but this skirt is not. It is not tapered at all, it just sort of hangs after it hits the hips. It is not a bad skirt, it just doesn't fit like a pencil skirt should fit.

Perfect summer skirt, business professional length, heavy cloth material, not see through at all, easy to wear with bare legs, nude sandals or pumps, and a bright flowy top. Excellent value for price.

Love this pattern and material. This skirt looks expensive and can be dressed up or down. Highly recommend!
