February 21, 2019The quality of the fabric is very good; however, stiff heavy fabric. Not a fabric for summer shorts. I ordered an XL for my husband, which is his size, and I wonder if the L would also be too big.

4th pair...
October 8, 2018this is the 4th pair of these shorts (at least similar: cotton shorts with drawstrings) that i've purchased from JCrew. i love every pair and they are the more comfortable shorts to wear around the house or wherever (i mostly use them for lounging). i recommend them for sure.

Fits small
Legs are too small
August 16, 2018I bought these for my husband and they look like boxer briefs, because they are so tight on his legs. They fit his waist fine, but he has muscular legs so they are unfortunately way too tight. Its a shame because he said he loves the look of them, but would never be able to wear them. We can't return them since they are final sale, so I don't know if going up a size would help or not. Proceed with caution when purchasing.
