Bought for the husband and he likes it

I originally bought this for my husband in XL, which is normal for him and I loved it on him, so much so that I decided to get one for myself once it was on clearance again. In the meantime I washed it, and while the color stayed true, it no longer fits him! Now it fits me (I would actually prefer it a little bigger) and I normally wear a men’s medium in the double knit men’s shirts from J Crew. So I’m scratching my head a bit at all the “true to size” reviews because for us, it was tts only before washing. A difference between medium to Xl is pretty significant and I’ve never had this issue with J Crew before. It’s a great hoodie though, lightweight cotton material and hangs really nicely. Now I’m waiting on them to restock so I can get the XXL…
