Pleated shift dress in wool flannel

This dress is perfect for work. It's comfortable and fits great!

I really hope J. Crew Factory will introduce some pieces in tall sizes. This would be perfect for work, but the length makes it inappropriate on my frame. It's not worth the hassle of spending the extra money on releasing the hem. It's not a party dress, so I'd have no other occasion to wear it. For reference, I'm 5'8", 140 lb., 32DD and the 4 fit, but was at least 4-6 inches too short (hit at my upper thigh).

I wanted to love this dress but am still undecided whether to keep it and visit a tailor or return it. Everything fit perfectly except the bust. The "Wonder Woman" panel at the waist is adorable but has the effect of cone boobs on small chested women. Even with my bustiest push-up bra, I couldn't get it to sit properly. The shoulders could use maybe a half inch tuck but the waist was perfect for standing or sitting for long periods (fitted but not skin tight). For reference, I ordered a 2 petite, and am 5'2" and 112lbs with a 32B/34A chest. My typical dress size is 0 petite but I find the waist on J.Crew dresses to be too tight in that size.

Dress is ok for the price I guess but I was expecting something higher quality from j crew. Also dress runs small - I am 5'3, usually in size 4 or 2, ordered a 4 which is snug in the waistline and short. I would return this except it was final sale so I can't.

This dress is great. Cute. Fits well. I wear it to work. However, the stitching along the sides had loose strings and a hole is close to opening up. I guess this is why it was final sale and cheaper.

This wool dress is fully-lined, allowing for the perfect winter dress with a cardigan and tights. My only complaint is that the pleats on the bust travel too high, pinching in an unflattering way across my chest.
