Carson duffel bag

NICE! This overnight bag is well made and really looks good!

Roomy and stylish, however on my first trip with it the metal clasp on the longer shoulder strap broke, so I'm not sure the quality is up to snuff.

The reason this bag is so inexpensive is because it's incredibly thin and really feels cheaply made. The handles are unusually heavy while the bag itself is way too thin. Spend a little more on a bag that will last longer. Also, the shape isn't what I was expecting and looks more like a large purse than a man's duffle.

I bought this for my groomsmen and they were all very happy with it (I also included the factory luggage tag as a nice touch and a way to include a note). These bags are very stylish and useful and they just look great. I have several complaints, however. First, I had to cut off a lot of loose strings because the stitching was not great. Normally, I would not care but the loose stitching was so blatant that it would have otherwise looked sloppy. Second, although there is a pouch on the inside, it is made of the most slender fabric and it is only secured by a single button (other weekenders have zippers). Third, the khaki color is significantly darker than in the picture. Though it is still nice, it does not compare to the navy weekender (though tastes may differ). Still, the bag is a beaut and if you're looking for something to take on a long trip or to give as a gift, you could hardly go wrong.

I bought this bag three years ago and loved it. But over time the handles began to fray and flake off. I just ordered a second bag to replace the original. The overall quality of the bag is great, no problems with anything but the handles. I am now using the strap as much as possible in hopes of avoiding the fraying. For the price it is hard to find a bag like this. But please note that if you do purchase one, the lifespan may only be a few years.

This was the only (carry-on) bag I took for my flight out of san jose down to LA. Had all my clothes for three days at the beach and nights in santa monica. I did bring my laptop, but was glad I didn't open it.
