January 23, 2017I ordered these pants on clearance (final sale), and also ordered a pair of the 5" chino shorts. The 5" shorts fit true to size, but these were horribly small! They are fastened by a zipper on the side, and I can almost not get them zippered at all. Above the zipper is a small metal fastener, and in the process of getting these shorts on for the first time, the fastener popped off! I was extremely disappointed by this product.

Buyer beware: Cute but cheaply made
September 26, 2016I ordered these in a size 2 and they fit TTS and look cute; however, after wearing and washing them ONCE, the hem fell out of the bottom, and the hook-and-eye closure at the top of the side zip came completely off. I've had quality issues with more than one pair of shorts from JCrew Factory and it makes me reluctant to buy more from them.

July 14, 2016Love the 4 inch length, appropriate but still sexy. Love the side zip which gives the shorts such a clean polished look. Also very happy that the leg area is not too tight, pooching out in that area is a no no!! My legs look slimmer when the hips are fitted and the legs have a little bit of room. My hubby loves these on me and now they put all my other shorts to shame!! Thanks Crew!

July 14, 2016I'm a size 6 pretty much most of the time but not in this short. I was so excited to receive these and was quickly disappointed in the fit. I could get them on but they're tight. Although there is stretch, I felt like they'll still be more snug then I'd like...plus the 4" inseam seems more like 3". Had I known they run short, I would have ordered a size up which is what I tend to do with shorter shorts....rather have them loose then too short. I ordered the orange print. The quality of the short is terrific, as is the print and color. Just a bit smaller than I expected.

July 11, 2016These shorts fit perfectly, and the length is also perfect. I also like the side zip, which means that I don't have any odd bulge at the front if I wear a thin shirt on top. I also like that it has pockets. The only complaint I have about them is that while I purchased the navy and am sure I received the correct pair based on the pattern, it does not look navy at all; in fact, it looks so black and white that it almost looks odd.
