Girls' jersey tissue turtleneck

This fabric is called “tissue” for a reason because it literally looks like it’s made from a a wet tissue. I bought the white one for my daughter and it’s basically see-through. Who on the design team thought a see-through shirt would be fine for a child? Even with an undershirt underneath it looks ridiculous.
