Cropped cotton sweater in stripe

I bought a medium and an XL as gifts. I was there when the XL was opened and the individual was worried that it may not fit (too short), but when it was put on, she was very happy with it. The medium was said to fit perfectly.

Fabric is soft, not scratchy, and pretty thick. Great for winter. However it is slightly boxy/baggy in the bodice area. It sits a few inches below my belly button. I got a small and I'm 5.3 135lb with wide shoulders. Also, the "galvanized iron salt" color is almost a lighter charcoal grey. I thought it would be black or navy which was what I wanted. Who knows what galvanized iron salt color even looks like?

The color is different than in picture. It is more light grey. and it of poor quality.

I was a little disappointed with the color of the 'galvanized iron salt' (though reading that description, I should have known) it's not black like it looks in the picture. It's a light grey. Still way cute though!

I bought this in the navy and white stripes and I have to say, I love it! Yes it is supposed to be cropped, but it comes at a pretty awkward length; when I wear this with normal (mid-rise) jeans, I will barely lift my arms and my stomach shows. With a skirt, however, it looks nice! It's such thick and high quality- perfect for fall!

The topmost stripe of my sweater was not straight. Instead, there are two noticeable peaks near the neck of the sweater. Additionally, I purchased this sweater in the color Poppy. The photo and the name of the color gives the impression that the color is a true, vibrant red. Instead, it's more like the color a watermelon would stain a white shirt. It's watered-down pink-red. Unfortunately, I used an offer code which made this purchase final sale. Due to this and other production issues experienced with the J.Crew brands over the last two years, I will no longer be making any purchases using the final sale promos.
