Merino wool turtleneck

I had been interested in getting a turtle neck for a while. I saw this beautiful Maroon color and I decided to try it. The merino wool is very soft and breathes well. It's plenty warm. The length of the neck is perfect for a single fold or even a triple fold if you want a short neck length. It's a thinner sweater so it's not too bulky, layers well, and can be worn for more of the year. Fit me perfectly and it is the perfect thickness. This is definitely something to get because it's timeless and yet always original. Looks great in a sport coat.

Fine knit merino turtleneck. True to size. Is a little thinner than I was looking for. Great to wear under a sport coat, not itchy, but not very thick or warming for under a regular jacket. Color was a bit darker than a true burgundy. But at the Christmas special price worth keeping.

I bought this turtleneck for my winter holiday parties. Although the fabric felt alright, the fit around the torso was much too wide and the waistband cinched too tightly. After one wash, it shrunk so much that it wouldn't come past my navel. I can't wear it again even as a layer.

This is a nice turtleneck, I ordered the dusty burgundy one in a large. I'm very satisfied with it. I'm going to sport it with a navy, black or gray Jcrew suit. Thanks for a great piece.

I had purchased previous merino wool sweaters from J. Crew. Unfortunately, the quality of this sweater is not what I expected. Very thin fabric.

I ordered this turtleneck in black size M, and it fit great. Decided to come back and order the same turtleneck, same size, but different color (maroon) and it was enormous. Bottom line: nice product if it fits, but sizing seems to be inconsistent.
