What customers are saying:
Many customers really appreciate the bag’s attractive design, color, and practical size. At the same time, more than half noted that the quality of the materials could be improved, with the leather often feeling overly stiff or plasticized and showing signs of wear. Several customers suggested refining the shoulder strap, as many found it stiff, bulky, or uncomfortable on the shoulder. Overall, while the style is appealing, enhancing the material and strap construction is recommended for a more comfortable and durable experience.

Strap broke quickly
May 13, 2017I wore this maybe 10 times and the strap completely separated from the bag. It's very cheaply made. Do not buy

Plastic like
January 4, 2017I didn't like the feel of the purse. It was a very hard material that felt almost like plastic. I was concerned about how it would hold up to repeated use. I returned it for a refund.

Not as perfect as it seems
December 12, 2016Looks great in photos, but in reality feels plasticky and looks like it will fall apart. There are no pockets and the strap is pretty bulky over the shoulder. I will be returning it.

Love the style but the quality is bad.
December 11, 2016I got this purse after falling in love with it online. I assumed that it would be up to par with J. Crew quality but when I got it, it was made of very cheap leather and when you put things inside of it, it bulges awkwardly because the leather is so thin. Honestly, for the price, you can get a much better purse. I really like the size of the bag though. It fits your phone, full size wallet, and keys perfectly with even a little extra room to spare! The style of the bag deserves five stars but the quality is just disappointing, especially coming from J. Crew. Another thing that periodically bothers me is the awkward shoulder strap that digs in. Sometimes it is unnoticeable but other times you can really feel it dig in. I would have returned the bag but the closest J. Crew Factory store is 30+ miles from where I live so I kept it.

Wanted to love, ultimately returned
December 5, 2016Much like the other reviewers, I wanted to love this bag, but just couldn't. I had kept my eye on it for a while and bit the bullet during one of the holiday sales. It arrived and the bag was immediately disappointing. The quality was okay, but definitely not what I have come to expect from J. Crew. The worst part (and the reason for my returning it) was the strap. First, the length was all wrong. If I kept it long it went well below my hip, past my butt. If I shortened it, the bag hit awkwardly at my waist. The metal adjustment grommets were uncomfortable on my shoulder at each length and not aesthetically pleasing. The strap was very stiff and would not lay flat at any length; it is also completely attached to the body of the bag, which is shown in the picture, but makes the bag look cheap in person. The one thing that I did like was the size- perfect for a night out or an event. It fit my iPhone 7 Plus, card case, keys, compact and lip balm just fine.

Breaks after 2.5 months.
November 28, 2016I looked for a long time for a good bag. I LOVED this bag, but recently realized it wasn't wearing properly. The leather strap is beginning to severely crack around where it attaches to the bag. It will most likely break in the next few weeks. Terrible, terrible quality especially for the price. Don't buy it if you expect to wear it often.
