Striped lace Teddie sweater

Took a chance and ordered the navy/black for my honeymoon. So pleasantly surprised to discover this is the perfect sweater: comfortable enough to wear on the plane but totally chic to wander the streets of Paris. The lace is high quality and the look can be dressed up or down. One of my favorite J. Crew purchases in a while; hope they make more like this!

This sweater has great styling. The issue is the wool content and wool fibers. I can wear clothing with some wool in it, but if the wool content is above 20% or the wool yarns have shorter fibers, they can be itchy and cause great discomfort. Such is the case with this sweater. Unfortunately I bought it as a final sale so I can't return it even though I react to it. I didn't buy it big enough to layer a long sleeve tee under it. J Crew, please consider listing actual fiber content percents. This sweater is 45% cotton/35% wool/20% nylon.That would help customers like me to better assess the wool content and make more informed purchasing decisions.

I love it! Pretty, soft and comfy with just the right amount of lace. Fits true to size.

The lace "stripes" on this sweater are such a fancy touch to this comfy, casual sweater. My sister-in-law saw this in the store when we were shopping together...and loved it...but wouldn't buy it for herself. So, after she went back to Minnesota, I sent it to her for Christmas. She was so touched that I remembered how much she liked it...the next FB post was her wearing it at a party...with a HUGE smile. She loves it...I love it...great gift...to yourself or someone you love.

I fell in love with this sweater its very flattering on. The colors go well with many different bottoms- but the first time that I wore it, it piled! So disappointed! Plus its hand wash only? who has time for that?
