Pleated shift dress

The dress was so cute online but when I got it it just didn't fit right so I exchanged it and got the size up thinking maybe it would fit better and be less puffy. This size gave me more room but the cinch in the waist was so tight when I wore it yesterday. I could not wait to get it off! I really wish it were a better fit so I could buy in other colors. Unfortunately I'm not sure I'll be able to wear it again.

I am 5 feet 4 inches 108 pounds and I have two of these. One in a 0 and one in a 00. Love both! The 00 fits better in the waist and the arm holes, but I also like the 0 for a slightly more relaxed feel, and the arm holes are still fine. Love that it's lined. Love the material.

Hourglass figures beware: this dress bunches up weird at the butt and tummy. I expected the skirt to be A-line but it's actually a little more fitted and straight from the hips, which seems customary for J. Crew Factory skirts. The fabric seems nice and I appreciate tailoring; however; size up if you're between sizes as it has no give whatsoever. Women with straighter figures might have more luck.

I just ordered this dress in a 2 in both colors. I have this style in different colors from last season. I love this dress for work. The dresses just came today and they were HUGE. I'm giving this dress style one more chance in a zero. If it still doesn't fit I'm not going to bother trying 00. Idk what jcrewfactory did in regard to the sizing for this dress (I'm always a 2), but they dropped the ball on this one.
