Embroidered floral dress

I bought this dress in the yellow and while the color and style are vibrant and perfect for summer, I had to buy a camisole slip dress to go underneath. The material is incredibly sheer. I'd only wear this without a slip underneath with a bathing suit, which was not the purpose that I purchased it for. I couldn't wear it to work on its own.

Easy throw on over your head add sandals and go. I usually order a large in j crew dresses but took a medium in this. I was worried it could look like a house coat but it doesn't! Vibrant color and easy fit . Many compliments. Thank you J crew factory !

While the dress is beautiful and cut well, the blue was incredibly sheer. I have to wear a slip with it, which sort of defeats the purpose of having a linen dress to stay cool.

I bought this dress when it was on sale and will keep it for the pretty pattern and color. This dress is HUGE. I went a size down from my regular size 0 and it is still HUGE. JCrew factory does not have 000 or petite sizes in this dress to exchange. I know this type of dress is not supposed to be form fitting but it is rather large and the square neck is making it look even larger. I don't like square necks and don't think they flatters anyone. Everything else fits on me like on the model. I love the striking blue and white embroidery so much that I will keep it for those lady days I just want to throw something on. It feels very hot to wear in the summer (guess due to linen material?) so I will save it for the fall or cooler summer days instead. Too bad, this would have been a perfect dress. It is still very cute and deserves 4 stars from me, but it could use some improvements.

I ordered this dress in both the blue and yellow color because I couldn't decide which color I liked more. I ended up keeping the blue and returning the yellow. The blue was just so pretty on my skin tone. It's a comfortable breezy 100% linen dress. It's casual and comfortable, great for hot days. I wore it in 118 degree Palm Springs desert heat and it was perfect. The length is just right on my petite frame. I hover between XS and XXS (usually a 0 or 00). I bought this in XXS and it was the perfect loose fit. Keep in mind the style is loose and comfortable so pick your size accordingly. I can't recommend it enough!
