Perfect tailoring details like double hook closures and hidden stitching make for a pair of shorts that can be worn dressed up with an ideal Thomas Mason oxford, or easily with J. Crew's own broken-in T shirts. While lightweight, the linen fabric feels very high quality and the 7" inseam falls exactly where it should. An excellent late-summer addition.

I'm really surprised to see these linen shorts being sold at such a low price. I have worn them a couple times and have gotten a lot of compliments. The waist is true to my size, and the leg opening is slim, which looks really flattering. It's 22" on a size 28. I can't speak to how long they will last, but they seem well-made. I would highly recommend them.

I ordered a 7" inseam and a waist size smaller- a 28!- and it still fit kind of large, overall it was very high waisted and wears a bit frumpy looking. I guess this is just how they make their cuts. It's a bummer because they are otherwise nice looking shorts, when you don't have them on your body.

Love these shorts, they're my favorite lightweight pair, and fit exactly as expected (no issue with the rise). A coworker even bought a pair after seeing mine. The light red color is perfect for spring/summer and goes with almost everything besides another red. BUT WHY ONLY ONE COLOR?! You make the same shorts in 3 different colors ("Linen-Cotton Beach Short") but a 9" inseam, why not in 7"? Are you afraid of selling a TON of shorts and making this a men's summer staple??

This is the third spring in a row that I've ordered shorts from here. They have ended up being enormous every time. I've always decided to just give it one more try but not anymore. They are easily 1-2 sizes too big and the rise is almost an inch longer than advertised. I will stick to ordering my shorts through regular J. Crew. The quality looks great, however.
