Cashmere crewneck sweater

I'm 95% happy with this sweater. Not the softest cashmere I've felt, but it is still very soft and light, and feels a little more durable than some other cashmere (if that makes sense). It almost feels like a cross between cashmere and merino wool, in a good way. My medium-sized sweater seems to run a little small, but still fits well. I have other medium-sized sweaters from J. Crew that are slightly larger. My "biggest" (yet still small) complaint is the neck of my sweater pairs somewhat awkwardly with a crew-neck tee shirt worn underneath. Otherwise, it is a very classy-casual piece that I expect will never go out of style, and I look forward to wearing it for years to come.

The sweater is decent but a bit thin. Considering the material, not so very soft—definitely not multi-ply cashmere. Also note the style is rather slim. Works OK over just a T-shirt but not ideal over more layers, like, say, a button shirt with pockets.

This was my first cashmere purchase and I'm happy to say I'm glad I splurged! I usually buy regular wool sweaters but hate the itchiness. These cashmere sweaters are fairly lightweight but extremely soft and very warm. I bought four - black, grey, navy and light blue. I'm now thinking I'll get a couple more!!
