Midi dress in gingham

I got this dress as a gift from my mother in law a week ago and at the beginning I was not sure about the length since I am petite (5’1). But after trying on I felt in love with it immediately. The length is flattering as well as the cut, fabric is nice and fresh and soft. Can be dress up with heeled sandals or down with flat shoes. Highly recommended

I bought the dress in a size 4 originally in store since I wear size 4-6 usually with me being 5' 8" and 140 lbs. It was slightly loose and so when I went back to the store the next time, I decided to try on the size 2 to just see if it would fit better and turns out it did! I returned the 4 and kept the size 2 and I am very happy with this dress. The pattern and design are simple but this dress is so classy and makes a great spring/summer dress! Material is sturdy and not thin. The dress has a good structure and is very flattering.

This dress looked so cute on the website but when I tried it on it was just not flattering. It looked like I was wearing a tablecloth, as much as I hate to say it. It was well made and fit well though.

I loved this dress in the picture. I couldn't wait to buy it and wear it. I have done lots of business with J. Crew over the years and normally I wear a size 8 or a size 10. This was my 1st experience with J. Crew "factory". I ordered the dress in a size 10 and it was easily 2 sizes too small. Had to return it. Too bad bc otherwise I loved it.

I wore this dress to a bridal luncheon and did not want to take it off because it was so comfortable. Great transition dress for fall (in the south). I am 5'9" 145 lbs and ordered a 6. I think I could have worn a 4 but I am glad I ordered a 6 because its roomy and the perfect length on me. I cannot wait to wear this again! I got so many compliments.

This is a quality dress, usually a 2 but took a 0 in this. Wish it were truly a midi dress but for me at 5'10" hits right on top of my knees but still a great dress.
