Military shirt-dress

This dress looks pretty and is so easy to take care of. A quick steam and you’re set. Slimming without being body hugging. I love it!

Bought this dress for my daughter and she loves it!

Was on the fence about this one when I pulled the trigger. Surprise- its a keeper! Fun little daytime/office dress, kicky little backyard barbecue dress, or even for a more dressier dinner- works in multiple ways. Best yet- color is very transitional. Washes great- have worn at least three times in last two weeks, and will throughout early fall. Fits great, and looks even better on! (Size 10, 38D/145 lbs girl- slightly baggy in dress, but that's my preference).

The style and material for this dress are great. It is smooth and contoured. There is nothing boxy about this dress. There is a contrast of gray where the dress buttons. My only advisement is with the sizing. I'm a 12-14 in more manufacturers. With Jcrew, now, I'm a 16 most times. Some times the 16s don't fix. This dress fits me like a glove and there is no give. So this dress, according to Jcrew sizing, is small. According to normal sizing, it's about right. Very glad I got this dress. The similar collared dress is stiff and the collar is bothersome.

A couple years ago, I stalked a the JCrew version of this dress online for many months! When one popped up in my size, I was thrilled. And then I promptly lost a ton of weight and it didn't fit anymore. I still couldn't get rid of it, thinking, I'll have it altered. Whatever. Then Factory showed me this! I ordered it immediately. Here's the deal: it's a super lightweight fabric. Not a heavyweight like the original at all. It's a tad short for me (5'8") hitting a couple of inches above my knees. Will wear this with a bandana and Birks this summer and see how long I can carry it thru the Fall with a long sleeved layer underneath and booties.

I took a leap of faith ordering this dress. The photo made it look long and kind of like a potato sack but I was pleasantly surprised. I normally am a 2 or 4 and I ordered up to the 4 because of the button at the bust. It is so cute on and very flattering. The material is thick but not too thick. I plan on wearing this with navy or natural colored tie-up espadrilles in the fall.
