Scoopneck dress

This dress was such a disappointment! It looked lovely online. Great style, fabulous color. Ordered and received it, PERFECT fit. I mean, like it was made for me and only me. I was in love. It was a bit creased from the shipping, so I spent some time doting on it - steaming it to get it ready to debut it at work. As I handled it, I had some doubts about the wearability of the fabric. So I kept the tags on it as I put it on, and sat down long enough to floss my teeth. Stood up for a check in the mirror on my way out the door, and weet wahhhhhh. An awful, wrinkled mess!!! Had to change it. So glad I didn't remove the tags. Returned it right away. Still waiting on the credit... So, my hope is that JCrew will hear my cry, and re-release this beauty in a fabric that won't look like I slept in it after two minutes.

I LOVE this dress, ordered it both pink and navy. It fits really well and is very flattering. Perfect for work. Unfortunately the material is very thin and I personally will probably have to wear spanx underneath it because the thinness of the material does reveal the imperfections around my tummy/hips. THe dress does have a lining but I wish it was just a little thicker more suiting-type material. But it's a small sacrifice in my eyes for a cute, stylish, well-priced dress, and honestly the thin fabric might be beneficial in the summertime!

I am so happy I purchased this dress and want to make sure others with my body type give it a try - I am 5'3" and 130lbs-ish and "pear" shaped, meaning my hips are a bigger size than my waist. Sheath dresses DO NOT work on me; they are always far too loose in the waist and give me a weird rectangle shape. This dress does not do that! I got a 6, where I am normally a 4 in most JCrew dresses, and it fits amazing (this is why I suggest it might run a little small but nothing crazy). It hits right at my knee, maybe a little below. It is cut just right so that it both grazes over my waist and my hips without distorting my body shape. It also somehow isn't too large at the top, so it's not gaping around my 32B bust. I am very comfortable wearing this to my job in government. The material is not thick - it's like a suit skirt material - but great for a summer work dress!

Wore it for a board meeting today! Dressy but comfortable.

Love this dress, yummy summer color, great style with the sleeve ! A little worried about the wrinkling aspect of the material, but lightweight! A great fit..
