Toggle coat

This coat has the right length and weight for those "in-between" seasons. It is not quite as soft as the more upscale J.Crew coats, but well, that's factory and I don't mind. It seems very well made, the toggles are not cheap-looking and the hood is a nice touch. The grey color goes with virtually everything and makes it dressy enough for work. I would not recommend it for subzero temperatures, but it is roomy enough to fit an excursion vest underneath for extra insulation if need be. I am 5'9', 145 lbs and got a size 8. It hits at the low hip. As with all J.Crew, the sleeves are long enough for a taller person like myself. If you like it more fitted, I guess you could size down, but I wanted room to layer. Highly recommend.

The quality of this jacket is amazing for the price point but the arms are pretty long. I'm 5'5" and the coat hits me at my hip which is perfect but the arms came down to my fingers so I had to have it tailored. Other than that issue, awesome little fall jacket.

If I had paid full price, I would have sent this coat back. It is a very cute coat. I purchased a size 8 so I could wear it over all my bulky sweaters and I love the loose fit. (5'4" 135) However, I don't think the quality is the best. The liner has a tendency to hang out of the sleeves if I am not careful. And the coat feels thinner than I would have expected. So good coat. Fingers crossed that it holds up.

This coat fits very nicely and is very comfy. It is surprisingly thick as it is lined and it nice and warm. My favourite part is the hood. My only complaint is the pockets. The size of them is great but they're awkward/uncomfortable to put/rest your hands in.

This is a fantastic coat with one huge flaw - the pockets. The pockets themselves are super roomy, but the design is odd - they open from the top down instead of from hips in toward your belly button. This, to me, makes no sense AND just looks plain stupid when trying to keep your hands warm. Outside of that, this coat is perfect. I get compliments all of the time!

I did not order a petite, but this coat feels like it's cut for a petite woman. It stops at my waist which is not a comfortable area for a coat to hang. The arms feel an inch too short. The fit around my middle is slightly snug - maybe I need to lose a few pounds, but it's still cut a bit small based on all of my other coats. I'll keep it for now, but it may end up getting gifted to a friend.
