Wool cape-coat

I’ve been stalking this for awhile and it kept getting sold out. I was unsure of the sizing because I fluctuate intensely. I usually have to size up because of my bust (36DD); I hate doing that because then the rest of the fit looks a tad awkward. Recently I’ve been ordering mediums for outerwear from J-Crew Factory. I'm 5’5” and around 150lbs and got this cape in a small/medium. This was perfect and it fit like a dream. Thick material (not too heavy), nice lining, comfortable, slimming, and I love the pockets. I don’t plan on wearing thick sweaters underneath, but definitely still able to layer. There are a few caveats for me. I wish there was a sturdier label ribbon loop so it’d be easier to hang when hangers aren’t convenient. The toggle fasteners are cute, but the tan patch sewn to accent them looks a little cheap and feels like plastic. Other than that, super satisfied with this piece and I want to live in it.

SUCH an amazing coat. Love the colour, love the fit--ever so chic! I am 5'2" and 120 lbs and I was worried that it may overwhelm my small frame. Not at all. XS/S is perfect and fits like a dream. As one reviewer pointed out, more colours would be great as well as an awesome pattern lining for a fun pop of interest. Regardless, this is a great wardrobe staple exactly as it is. Should this ever come in other colours, I will be sure to get another. Happened to get in on sale, plus an additional 30% off flash offer. So I am extra happy with my purchase after weeks of stalking this ever-so-sold-out item.

This coat has the look of a cape but the fit of a coat, so it doesn't overwhelm, especially if you are not tall, which I am not! It's actually slimming, and the quality is what you expect from J.Crew. I love it! *It's especially comfortable for arms-free driving when we're so layered up in the winter!

This cape is great. I've been stalking J Crew cape coats for a couple years since you last had them, and they were crazy expensive sold as used. Finally this one popped up in my searches! I ordered two sizes, because I was unsure of what size would fit. I'm a 12/14 on top and a 10/12 on bottom. I ordered the L/XL and the M/L -- and surprisingly, the M/L fit A-OK, with room enough for a heavy sweater. I wish the lining had a little more "wow" factor -- shinier, or some subtle print that would flash out with the cape -- but as it is, it's a nice, neutral lining that doesn't detract away from the cape.

Wonderful for NYC fall weather. Love it !! I get so many compliments. Classy piece that stands out and keeps you warm on a fall day.

This cape is so stylish and cozy. It is the perfect transition piece from fall to warmer winter coats. I have received so many compliments in the last couple weeks since I have had it. The only negative thing I could say is that the stitching of the leather triangle piece of the toggle closure started unraveling on the third wear. I had to hand stitch it myself. Other than that I could not be happier!
