Plaid ruffles
November 11, 2021I normally wear a medium in jcrew tops but it seems this year the shirts are designed tighter around the midsection (lower hip area) so to feel comfortable I sized up to a large in this style. The sleeves on the large are always too long and top portion too big but the shirt is cute enough especially since it matches espadrilles I have in the same pattern.

Gingham top
November 6, 2021The ruffles are simple, pretty accents and the print is attractive but the top does run 1 size too large. And it is boxy in fit. With a 38D bust and having had 2 children, I expected the fabric would be tight across the chest and not be forgiving, so I ordered my usual size but it is tent-like. I kept it, thinking I could wear it under a blazer or vest, since the gingham is pretty and crisp.
