Velvet tee

I purchased the gray top. It looks great! Festive yet casual. Good quality too. I liked it so much I went back to get the red one, but it was sold out in my size.

I am petite and usually order petite sizes when available, so I was expecting this to fit loose, especially since it states "easy fit" in the description. If possible, I would recommend sizing down. The drape is nice, though, and the grey color is pretty. Can easily be dressed up or down for the holiday season.

I really wanted to like this top. I am loving that velvet is back in! However, I am short with broad shoulders, and this top was just too boxy. It fit great in my shoulders, so I couldn't size down, but it was too wide in the torso area. It looked like it was oversized on me, which is not the polished look that I think velvet should have. Sadly, it went back.

First off, I love all things velvet and I am really into Red this season too. So this tee caught my eye in the Red, but when I recieved it, I was disappointed. I ordered my usual size small for ref: size 6 in tops or sz. small, with DDD bust and 29 waist petite arm length. The top of the tee was slightly loose but that was fine, it was the fit from the middle down that was strange. The style is cut more for a Man with no flare at the hip area, just straight down which made it tight at my hips so it runched up. Sizing up would have been too big in the upper area. Who designs this stuff? Obviously not a Woman. Loved the tee and the color, fit was the deal breaker here. Also, as long as you are requiring dry clean on your velvets, which is fine, make them a little better quality and use a silk blend for more softness and drape and velvety sheen.

This website clearly states it is machine washable. The tag inside the shirt says to dry clean only. Returning.
