Completely sheer, shapeless, boxy and long
March 29, 2016Warning: this top is extremely sheer, even though it is technically "lined'. It is also boxy and shapeless. I was so disappointed to see it is not the cute spring basic I was looking for. I wanted something basic and cute to tuck into navy pants or an aqua pencil skirt. The top looks like a mass produced, cheap garment. I knew the moment I unfolded it from the plastic wrap that it was huge (even in a size 0). It sort of flares out at the hip and looks like an A-line cut. The material does not feel bad next to my skin. It is just so sheer. It is a large swatch of fabric with cute (if a tad too big) flutter sleeves sewn on at the end. Disappointed. Again.

great little swiss dot top
March 17, 2016I have always loved a good flutter sleeve, but I feel like most brands this spring have the HUGE flutter sleeve. No bueno. This is the perfect top for me bc it's understated and cotton. I can't handle the synthetic fabrics. This one is beautiful and breathable. It was a must for me!

Sweet Summer Staple
March 11, 2016I'm a sucker for anything Swiss dot. In most brands I am a medium, but since J. Crew has started cutting their tops a little larger, I now wear a small or 6 in most of their things. The same is true for this top. Ordered it in a 6 and it fits as expected.

Nice fabric, plain neckline
February 16, 2016I'm usually 0 and sometimes 00 but I went with the 0. The armholes are just a bit big and you can see too much skin for my preference so I want to try the 00. The fabric and lining do not have much stretch but it wasn't tight at the hips or bust (32A). It has good coverage because of the lining, cotton I think, and I couldn't really see the waist line of my jeans through it so that's good. The swiss-dot fabric and pattern are nice, I like the upper back keyhole design but the front neckline was just a little plain. On the shirt I got, the neckline was sewed a little wonky, not a perfect U-shape but still felt the front was plain. The sleeves were really ruffled and stood up at my shoulders, felt too girlish, but maybe a spin through the washing machine would help calm them down. I would be interested in other style options with this same fabric.
