Striped tweed cropped jacket

I first tried this jacket on in July and though I really liked it I didn't buy it. Mainly because it was high summer and this is def not something you would wear in summer as it is a midweight wool jacket. I was also slightly put off by the metallic threads of the trim, like the other reviewers. But I wishlisted it and in October it felt like this would be the right moment to buy it. So I did and absolutely love the jacket. Changed my mind about the metallic threads too, as they are subtle and give the jacket something extra. So why not five stars? Because on some jackets the stripe pattern is perfectly aligned, on others less so. So I would recommend buying it in store as it is now final sale.

Jacket cut/style/quality is excellent, but it's heavier than I'd like (just thick) which probably means I'll have to take it off periodically while in the office. Also, not a fan of the sparkles in the trim. Just seems tacky/doesn't go with the overall look.

Wanted to love this jacket. I look at it online now and think how adorable and perfect it could be. It just didn't work for me. The downsides: it's very boxy. Everything at J. Crew Factory seems boxy and wide right now. The body and arms were nowhere near as cute and fitted as the jacket looked on the model or in the picture. And it felt almost cropped on me which is strange because I'm short-waisted. The arms were also too short which was why I didn't try a smaller size. Finally, the trim has some sparkle to it. Maybe cute for the holidays, but not quite right for the everyday wear I wanted. Okay, so the upsides: great quality, nice weight to the fabric, and super cute looking. Just not the fit I hoped for. For sizing, I'm 5'7", 120ish and I tried the size 4.
