Gauze skirt

Way too short. The length was perfect for my 4'10" daughter. I'm a size 2 and 5'7", both the xs and the small barely covered my bum. Super cute style but not practical...maybe at the beach it could have worked, but otherwise, the length was inappropriate; very surprised (and disappointed) J Crew!

I purchased this skirt last summer in a small (my usual Jcrew size) and found it overwhelming on my frame and just too big. I'm so glad I tried it again this spring in an XS, because it's great. It's super comfortable, great color (but not sheer), it has pockets (WIN!) and will be a great wear this summer dressed-up or more casual.

It's a great cute summer skirt, and the design is wonderful and perfect for what I was looking for. However, when I tried it on I realized that it doesn't have a lining underneath, so it's a bit see-through. I may be only able to wear it as a swimsuit cover up, which is disappointing.

From the way the skirt is shown and the name "Gauze Skirt", I thought it would be a light summer skirt that has some bounce to it. So when I saw it on sale, I thought it would be a safe purchase given the high reviews. But when the item arrived, it was really disappointing. First of all, don't let the name deceive you. There is nothing gauze-ish about the skirt at all. It is a straight forward piece of linen and not a light one. The thickness is like that of a worn fabric napkin. On what occasion would you want to wear something like that? Also, the website failed to mention that the skirt is not lined. So one can easily see what's worn underneath along with the skirt's big flappy pockets. I should not have bought it during the final sale.

What a cute skirt. This can be worn over a swimsuit or with a tank or a tee. The quality and the craftsmanship are true JCrew.

I originally bought this to wear as a swimsuit cover up and it is so cute and not too short. I will probably end up wearing this with a tank top and sandals as a traditional summer skirt and not only as a cover up.
