Neon floral flounce skirt

I bought my usual size 6 in skirts and it fits a bit snug slightly above the waist. It even poofs out in the lower tummy area giving the appearance that I swallowed a small whole chicken. Not a good look! It's doesn't lay neat and flat in the front below the waistband at all. It's crinkly and billows out giving me an odd shape. However, the back of the skirt is flat and sides of the skirt stick out on both sides. It's a hot mess. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with it, because I got it on final sale. I'm really sad about this since I love the colors and the beautiful pattern on the skirt. I'll only be wearing it around the house.

The skirt appears very well made, and the flowers and colors are beautiful! The band is true to size. It is a little poofy at the waist, and I think it makes me look a little wider. However, I wore it for the first time yesterday and got at least 10 compliments!!

Great length and can dress up or down. Well lined.

I was initially on the fence about this skirt because of some other reviews and the fact that it was neon. However, I really do love it! It's perfect for the summer and just the right length, hitting around the knees. It's fun and lively but also very tasteful and appropriate even for work. I also think the fit is quite flattering, as it accentuates the waist nicely. Very happy with my purchase.

I wish I had not bought this skirt. In my mind, a flounce skirt was something that should have a nice material that moves with you. Maybe I was picturing something else, but this is a very stiff skirt which honestly felt like I was wearing a super thick parachute. It's nylon heavy and didn't move at all. I am a size 4 and the stiffness of the skirt, coupled with the fact it is extremely A-line, made it jut out on the sides, making me look 3 times larger. I had a very bell shaped appearance in this skirt, which was disappointing. The fabric is also striped with the flowers on top and this does not translate in the photos one bit. It's a light nude and ivory stripe pattern, which didn't seem to mesh well with the patterns of the flowers.

Full disclosure... I did not try this skirt on. I just wanted to share that the photo doesn't quite capture the color. It is def neon, but isn't completely off the mark. The quality is lovely. If I didn't already have a two season old JCrew pencil skirt I would have bought it, but let's face it now many neon skirts does one need?
