Merino wool Caryn cardigan sweater

This cardigan runs true to size and has a classy yet casual feel. It’s the stylish gold buttons on an otherwise ordinary sweater that make it sophisticated. It’s a bit thin, so it’s great for layering.

The body of the sweater is comically short. I have a long torso, but this sweater hits at my low waist, high high hip. Sizing up would've made the sweater wider, which I don't need. The color and buttons are beautiful and the quality is good, but extremely thin. This sweater is best worn with a sleeveless or lightweight top. I get compliments when wearing it, but don't reach for it often due to the weird sizing.

I shop J Crew because they deliver style, quality and value. But not with this sweater. I sincerely cannot understand the rave reviews by other shoppers. First of all, the shiny "gold" buttons are terrible. I cut them all off and am replacing them with quality buttons, not these cheap plastic "metal" ones. Second, the sweater is so thin it is practically see through. I am very disappointed and expected more from J. Crew. I think you can find a better quality sweater for the same price or a few dollars more. Just keep looking, my friend. This sweater is going to last 1 year, tops.

It's so hard to find amazing pieces of clothing that are olive green. The gold buttons won me over. BUT this cardigan is 1/2 merino wool (yay!) and 1/2 acrylic (booooo!). After one wear I am already seeing the pilling. Really disappointing. Also I normally wear a S, but bought a M so that it could be loose, but this is not the case. It fits small and the buttons on me are pulling open. So sad that I cannot return/exchange after 1 wear.

Nice cardigan good length , true to size, a closet staple

The color was less heathered and I was glad of that, a very rich camel. A classic look, light weight making it useful for layering. Great button detail.
