Petite wide-leg cropped jean in all-day stretch

I got the “Spring Storm Wash,” which is the light colored blue denim pair, and I love the way these fit. These were also my first pair of J. Crew jeans, and I’m glad I decided to try them. These hug you in the hips in a flattering yet comfortable way. Wide leg jeans can be tricky on a petite frame, and I find that many wide leg jeans overwhelm my frame. But these were just what I’ve been looking for. They fit me like the model. For reference, I’m exactly 5’1 3/4” tall and 107 lbs. I’m typically anywhere from a 00-0 or size 24-25 in denim. Based on their size chart, my 25” waist would be in a U.S. size 23, but my 34” hips would put me in a size 25. I don’t find their size chart to be accurate. Besides, they don’t even make a size 23. I’d say I’m more often a size 25 in other brands. For this pair, the 24 fit me best. I could have also got the size 25 if I wanted a looser fit. But trying on both sizes, I preferred the size 24petite. The regular length also worked if I wanted a longer length that I could still wear with flats. I wanted them to fit like the model so I opted for the petite length. I tried on some of their other styles to see if they’re consistent with their denim sizing, and they are not. For some of their tighter fitting styles like I believe the straight leg, the 25 fit me better. So just keep in mind to go more TTS for their slimmer fit jeans and maybe go down one for their baggier/wide leg options. In their linen pants, I’m a 00 petite. Hope that helps!

Great addition to your spring wardrobe. The legs are wide but not too wide. I am 5’2” and purchased the classic length vs the petite and they come just too my ankles. I expect some shrinkage when I wash them which will make them a perfect crop.
