Tweed city coat

This is a color you don't see very often...I love blue. However the zipper is hideous. I took the coat to the tailor to have the zipper replaced by (blue) buttons. It looks absolutely marvelous now. I take it with me when I travel to NYC.

When I first put the jacket on, i loved it! Very cute style and pattern, but then I noticed the zipper. It's a little difficult to zip, due to the placement, but the real problem is how obvious it is once the coat is zipped up. The zipper is baby blue and goes all the way up. Just zoom in on the picture and you'll see what I'm talking about, but it's much worse in person. Looks very cheap.

Finally bought this jacket once it hit the sale rack and I love it! It fits true to size, and the color is so much more vibrant in person!! I wore it out for the first time and received 5 compliments within the first hour!

Pro: The color is great! A vibrant blue/white/black tweed, which on the picture looks drab but is quite bold in person. I like the the style because I know it's a coat that could be dressed up and down with heels or a sneaker. The fit is great, I'm usually a P8 or R6 jackets/tops; 5'2" 145lb, 36DD. Not narrow at the arms; sleeves ends at the right length on my arm. It is thick without looking too boxy. Con: The material pills.

Love this coat - style is great and the colors in the tweed make it easy to pair with many things and dress up or dress down. I like it more for casual wear - fun with vintage Nikes and jeans. I like that it doesn't show dirt or lint or pet hair - makes it great for traveling! The only downside is that the coat sheds/pills pretty bad, and almost immediately, like you'd expect a sweater would.

I was one of three people in the store looking at this coat who then also bought the coat. LOVE the variations of blues in the tweed. This coat is not too bulky but definitely warm. I wore my coat right out of the store!
