Boatneck sweater-dress

I ordered this dress in black size XS. It fits perfectly! It hits me right above my knee. I read all the previous reviews and decided to order one size down.... glad that I did! I wish it came in more colors. Thinking about getting the grey.

I had such high hopes for this dress. I ordered the marled oatmeal, which is a great, versatile color. However, the material is very thin (I could see the outline of my entire rear in the mirror!), and the fit is strange. The sleeves are baggy and too long, and the hip area is much too wide... I have pretty narrow hips (and usually wear a size 2 in pants from J.Crew), but there was easily an extra 5 or 6 inches which seemed strange for a size small. I'm assuming J.Crew tried to make the dress more flattering by creating more room in the hip/tummy area, which I can appreciate. Unfortunately, I had to return this dress.

This sweater dress will be my go to dress for many winter occasions! It can be dressed up with heals and sparkly jewelry, or trendy with heeled boots, or classic with pumps and a scarf! Happy I found it!

Bought this in gray - loved the look of this dress and it was really comfortable but the gray was totally see through. Was sad to send it back.

This dress is by far one of my favorites and is a wardrobe "must have" for a number of reasons. It's extremely comfortable, simple and elegant #in a signature kind of way#, and also silently sexy... I love that I can wear this dress "to work" and also “to hang out with my friends”. It's one of those pieces that you see and say: CU-UTE! :) I was so impressed with the overall look and fit of this dress that I purchased it in "every" color. I know... I ordered the Marled Oatmeal in a small. The color is really nice. Unfortunately, the material is too thin and the shape is weird. It poofs out at the hips and then comes back in for the bottom 6 inches. It might fit me better if I sized down but I won't re-order since the knit is too thin.
