Fair Isle front sweater

I ordered this to add to my shrinking sweater collection and was really pleased with the pretty design and soft feel of the knit. The only disappointment was the sizing - I ordered an XS (my normal size for shirts at J. Crew), and it's just really baggy on me. It could be the design, but without seeing it on a model, it was hard to tell in advance. I'll still wear it, but I'd hoped it would be a little trimmer and closer fitting to my body.

I really love this sweater. It has the warmth of wool but feels soft because of the nylon blend. The colors are beautiful and the style is very versatile: it looks great with a pair of jeans but could also go with a pencil skirt or any number of other things. My favorite part about it is the sleeve length: I'm 5'8" with long arms, and sometimes have trouble finding sweaters that truly come to my wrist, but this one has a couple inches to spare (no worries, there's plenty of ribbed cuff to roll back if you don't wan the extra length). As to size: a J.Crew medium or size 6 usually fits me perfectly. This sweater fits a little loose in a medium, but not so loose that I would call it baggy. I happen to like the more casual fit of this (it's still flattering), but if you wanted it to be really fitted, you probably have room to size down. My only complaint is that it doesn't come in more color choices! I'd buy another one in a heartbeat.

so glad I purchased this sweater, even though it is wool, it is very soft! love the colors, they are so beautiful with the camel,ivory and grey, its perfect!

This sweater is very well-made. The material is a nylon/wool blend but it is not itchy like some other wool sweaters I have tried. I usually wear a medium with J-Crew but this sweater was a little larger than I usually like so I would order a size down.

I love this sweater. Very soft, comfy and beautiful. I am size Small in J.Crew and Small fits true to size.
