Beautifully Made, Slightly Narrow for Plus Size
June 29, 2022This blazer is gorgeous, especially in the fall. It has become one of my favorite pieces in my closet. It's very well-made and comfortable. I get tons of compliments every time I wear it. My only critique is that it's a bit narrow in width for plus size bodies. I wear a 44-46C in bras and ordered a size 24 in the blazer. It is a little too snug on me to wear buttoned, but I don't really wear blazers buttoned anyway. I would love to see the J. Crew products extended sizes better tailored for plus size bodies.

Great for chilly weather
January 21, 2021First, I love the cut of the schoolboy blazers; this is my third one. In comparison to the navy & tan blazers, the fabric is heavier. The cut & styling eliminate the bulk. However, I'd consider sizing up if it is to be worn over shetland sweaters, for example. The colors in the houndstooth nearly cover the gamut. I was pleasantly surprised by periwinkle. The only negative, a small one, is the buttons. I may swap them out for similar, but heavier ones. They just feel too flimsy. If this jacket were to be made in red (hint, hint), even a tomato red, it would shortly be in my closet.
