Printed textured cotton dress

The pattern is very cute, but I agree with the other reviews: the fit is strange. I expected it to be more fitting than it is. Also, it is very short. I'm 5'8" and I thought it would be knee length, but it is several inches above my knee. Cannot be returned or exchanged and cannot wear it to the event I planned to wear it to due to how short it is. Overall, pretty disappointed.

As many reviews note that this dress having pockets, I was disappointed when it arrived that it does not. The print and fabric is beautiful for fall. I purchased the dress in 00 and wish it was offered in petite sizes as I would need for it to be taken in slightly on the top, and a few extra inches on the bottom. The proportion in the size of the top and bottom of the dress do not match up. Will be returning asap.

I purchased this on "final sale" and will be careful from now on. This dress has exceptional quality to it. I purchased the blue floral and the colors are vibrant and stunning. The dress does not fit like on the mannequin for me. I purchased a size 4 usually I wear a size 2 in retail J.Crew and a 00 in the J.Crew collection but just wasn't sure with the factory line of J.Crew. It's like a size 6 or 8 over all, the bust measurements and the hips are beyond 38" in measurement! It's a beautiful dress but this size 4 is best suited for a 6 or 8. Price wise it's worthy and lined too. Hidden zipper very beautiful if you choose to purchase.

I don't know that I'd buy this dress again, but I'll wear it now that I have it. I didn't mind the structured pleating around the waist that bothered some other reviewers - it does emphasize the hips a bit, but I don't find it unflattering. (I'm 5'6", 140 lbs, and ordered a size 6.) What I dislike about the dress is that it bunches -badly- when you sit down. There's basically an inner-tube of fabric right at my stomach that cannot be smoothed down or flattened out, and it just looks weird. That said, the dress itself is cute and the fabric is perfect for summer. I've worn it to networking events where I know I'll be standing or seated at a table the whole time. I would not wear this to anything without a table/desk to hide the bunching at the waist when I sit. Also, the light blue of the leaves is much more noticeable in person than it was on the site. I thought it was more gray, but in person blue leaves and tan outline are very noticeable.

I took a chance on this on final sale... I love the pattern and the idea, but not sure that I would have bought it if it was in store and I'd had the chance to try it on. I'm 5'10" and about 150#, and things usually are too big on top and too small on bottom for me. I went with a size 6 and it fits OK. I had to let the hem out as much as I could for it to be long enough to wear to work. The waist is about 1" higher than it should be for me. But... cute fabric, pockets, pretty comfy, quality construction.

This dress is beautiful and lovely, but runs small around the waist, hence if you usually wear size 14, buy size 16. I dress up with sweater for work, and can convert easily as an evening dress, with or without sweater
