Gingham shell top

I'm 5.5", 121 lb, slender and not much curve - for me, this shirt is pretty boxy and loose. It's a terrible match with skirts or boot cut jean or suit pants (either straight or wide rim) because it'll make me look like a shopping bag. The fabric also makes it look a little bit like dish cloth, which I couldn't see at all in the photo before purchase. I'm still satisfied because it was on sale and it looks pretty with white shorts or skinny jeans (bought the blue one). Also despite the price of dish cloth quality, this fabric keeps me pretty cool in hot weather.

I love the fabric and style of this top, the pattern is super cute. However, it runs large and it's a bit boxy. Consider ordering a size down.

I got this top in the color bright red, but it's more like soft red to me. I am 5' 9" and currently in between sizes for tops. I'm between size 4 and 6 so I decided to go with the 6. The arm holes have just the right comfortable amount of space, but it's kind of wide in the midsection. I do wonder how the fit would be if I had ordered down one size to the 4. However, I've decided to keep the 6 since I'm afraid the armholes on the 4 might be too small. It does have a boxy fit, but wearing it tucked in or with a belt will solve that issue, not a huge enough deal for the hassle of doing a return. I love the big gingham pattern, and color and feel of the light cotton/linen blend of the material. It is 73% cotton and 27% linen, and to my surprise it doesn't wrinkle that bad. Feels like a nice weight and I wouldn't want it any thinner in order to keep the good quality. Nice for the hot summers.

I was thrilled when I put this top on, and my undergarments didn't show! No bra straps, no too-big sleeve holes that force you to wear a tank underneath your tank. Also, the fabric isn't stiff, yet holds its shape well all day. Another benefit is that it's not see-through. For an added touch, the back has a keyhole and button closure. I've worn this with chambray shorts, and dark denim jeans and it looked cute dressed up and down. I'd highly recommend this blouse for anyone who likes to look stylish, but doesn't want to let it all hang out.

Cute gingham casual top, slightly on the boxy side. I'd prefer a bit more of a feminine cut, but still a nice style for around town or a night out paired with white denim. Washes and irons well, and the color is a pretty shade of blue. A great price for a summery top.

It's so big from the bust down, like the previous reviewer said. In the picture, the top runs straight down to the waist, but in real life, there's at least a good 3 inches of excess fabric on both sides of the waist. It is really unflattering - I'll try to see what happens with a belt but not sure since I am not a huge fan of belts.
