Love it
2 weeks agoExcellent protection. Reliable coverage with this rain jacket. Even better with layers underneath for warmth since this is very much just a focused shell — a good one, yeah, but be practical in planning for the weather you have and don’t rely on a single layer if it’s cold.

It's a rain jacket, not a "performance" jacket
July 19, 2023This jacket is a perfectly fine, waterproof **rain jacket**. Like virtually all rain jackets, it has zero breathability. But for some reason it is not referred to as a rain jacket, or as waterproof, anywhere in the description. J. Crew calls it a "performance" jacket, which makes you think of something you wear for athletics -- something where you'd want breathability and moisture-wicking. This does not have breathability or moisture-wicking. Because you wouldn't want to "perform" anything athletic in this at all. You would wear this in the rain. So as a rain jacket it would be 5 stars, but I'm docking it two stars because it's completely and utterly mislabeled. I had to return it because I wanted something breathable like a very light "softshell" or tight fleece material, which is what "performance" usually means. I didn't want to order a rain jacket. I think it's cool J. Crew makes a rain jacket. But it's baffling why they completely mis-label it.
