Poor quality or bad quality assurance at J. Crew
July 26, 2018I like the fit of the pants, but they arrived with a two-inch tear in the fabric down one leg, as though cut with a box cutter. I don't know if this is a problem with quality, as mentioned by other reviewers, or a problem with quality assurance at J. Crew. I own three other suits purchased from J. Crew, all Ludlow, which arrived with no problem and have lasted me for years. Unfortunately, these pants are going back, and the jacket with it.

Fits big
Looks nice, but poor quality fabric/will not last
December 7, 2017I own two Thompson worsted wool suits. After wearing them both all day a few times, the fabric in the seat of the pants has ripped and looks worn. One of the pockets has a hole in it that keys, change and pens will fall through. On both suits the arm holes have started to rip and the lining is coming loose. These suits look nice from the outside, but be prepared for very quick issues with the poor quality of the fabric and poor craftsmanship.

Style is awesome, but fabric quality is lower
February 7, 2017I wear this suit very infrequently, but noticed after a couple of wears that a small hole was starting to appear next to my back pocket where it looks like the fabric is wearing out. Other than this, the style and fit are great.

January 17, 2017This suit looks nice and fits well. Unfortunately after only wearing 3 times the pants have multiple pin holes in the fabric. Not worth spending over $100 for a pair of trousers that only last a few months.
