Wide-stripe sweater

This sweater's colors are brilliant and beautiful. The navy is a "true navy" in color; the other stripe is more of a violet purple/magenta. It however, does NOT wash well. I have had the sweater perhaps for less than a month and worn it 5 times. After the first wash (I followed directions on the care tag; Hand wash cold & lay flat to dry), and first wear --the sweater started to pile. I should mention it is 80% cotton and 20% wool. In hindsight, I would not purchase this product due to the quality of the fabric and how quickly and easily it started to "break down." Size-wise it fits true to size in my humble opinion. I am 5'7" and weigh 135 lbs and purchased a size small. No complaints on the sizing. The cotton content makes it comfortable to wear--but it appears that the fabric used to make this sweater is sub par. J. Crew does a fabulous job in style& design...and this sweater does just that. Quality is not fabulous here.

I was so excited to get this navy/white stripe sweater, it goes with so many plaid shirts. The only disappointment was that it runs kinda short. I'm tall but still seemed to be short for an average frame.

I got the one in navy/plum. The color is really nice. But that is pretty much it. Based on the previous reviews I got xs (I am 110 / 5'4" small chested) and the sweater is so small! It very tight in the arms and chest, and way too short! Plus the fabric is very scratchy. It is impossible to wear it. So disappointed.

Love the heavier weight of this one. Reminds me of boiled wool if you know the term. Love wearing it with a navy gingham or a white button-down shirt and jewels! I always buy a small and this was perfectly TTS.

Just received this sweater in the purple/ navy combination and it was just as pictured. It's also very soft which I was pleased to find out. For reference, I am 5'4" and 135lbs, and the small fits perfect, with still enough room to layer a tank/ collared shirt under it.

I really like this sweater. It is exactly what I expected. I am 5'6, 130 pounds, and wear a size A bra. I purchased a size small. It is roomy enough in the mid section that I do not feel like it clings to my body. I can comfortably put a button down under the sweater when layering. It is not thick or bulky. The fabric is high quality. If I had sized up I think it would have given an over sized look that could be nice. If you are larger than an A cup I highly recommend sizing up or I think it would tight across the chest and the hem would rise up. The length hits right at the top of my jeans.
