Striped T-shirt dress

i was hoping for a true t-shirt dress to wear at the beach this summer, but this is definitely is not what i was expecting. the material is heavy and stiff and the fit is strange - tight around my bottom and upper thighs but gaps at the waist and across the shoulders. there was also a strong chemical-like smell out of the packaging. i'm going to try washing it and see if that softens the material and eliminates the smell but am really disappointed.

Love the style and length of dress just very big and boxy. 5'7 145lbs bought size 6 and should've gotten a 2 or 4

I love the style of this dress. The weight of it is thick and sturdy which I also loved. The reason I ended up returning it was because the stripes aren't woven into the fabric but instead painted on. So every time you bend, the black stripe cracks in color. I can imagine this doesn't bode well for the longevity of the dress. It's sadly not well made and that is why I chose to return the dress. If they remade this dress somehow to have actual threads of black and white instead of painting on the stripes I would love to buy it again and keep it.

This is a nice casual dress it just didn't really do anything for me. The material is on the thick side which I like (it's def NOT flimsy or t-shirt type material to me). But it's pretty straight...no real curves to it and I am already pretty straight up and down as it is. It seemed a bit large to me so I sent it back.

My only complain is that the fabric is scary tough. You never feel cotton. Something like you are wrapper by cardboard :( even though it looks nice. I am disappointed and going to return even though it will cost me the full price of this dress:(((
