Pleated mini skirt

I was excited to wear this for the holiday season. Having a small waist and larger hips the skirt was definitely not flattering. I believe it was a combination of the material and pleats that made me appear wide. Cute skirt, just not designed for my body type.

I purchased this item to wear for Christmas outings and I think it’s perfect for those occasions! This skirt is pleated and full and very fun to wear! It looks great with black tights and black knee high boots! If you’re looking for a festive look, this is the skirt for you!

I was so thrilled about this skirt, but it just didn't look right on me. I'm 5'3, 130lbs (size 4) and just make it work on me. The tartan print is perfect for holiday parties. Sadly, I will be returning.

I was so excited to get this skirt. I had been eyeballing it for awhile. I ordered it in my usual J.Crew size and it was HUGE around the waist. I am very curvy with a small waist (27") and wide hips (41"), and the 6 was way too big. I considered ordering a 4, but was worried the waist would still be too big. I still wore the size 6 skirt but had to alter it a little. I pulled the waistband out and pinched it wear it was the proper fit, folded it over, and pinned it with some black safety pins. I will probably just wear it like that because it's not even noticeable and that way I still have the extra room of the 6 for my hips. I love it!

This skirt is adorable. I LOVE the plaid and it looked like the perfect christmas skirt. HOWEVER it’s got SO much extra material it made me look 15 pounds heavier. Totally bummed. I even tried to size down but it’s just way too much material to flatter anyone! It’s going back for sure!

The skirt is very cute when you pull it out of the box but once you try it on, you will be disappointed. The elastic waist band ruins the lines of the skirt and makes the skirt lay in a very unflattering manner, especially because of the short length. So disappointing as it could have been a fabulous, classic skirt for the holidays.
