Cotton-linen apron dress

The first time I saw this dress and tried it on, I was smitten. It's incredibly comfortable and so cute. It's very breathable, making it the perfect summer dress to wear to brunches, BBQs, al fresco dinners, etc. You also can get away wearing a normal bra, despite the back design, depending on how you tie and style the bow. If this dress is still available in your true size, I wouldn't hesitate getting it!

After reading the positive reviews I thought this was a sure thing even on Final Sale. My mistake! While the dress size was correct, the fit was very unflattering and made me look much wider in the hips than I am. Even worse, the lining that is supposed to be hidden under the skirt part was longer than the exterior fabric, making the skirt look awkwardly layered. It was clearly a defective piece from manufacturing. Wish I could have returned this. What a waste, I will never wear it.

I just received my dress a few minutes ago, and I absolutely love it - it's even cuter in person! The material feels good next to my skin, and the length of it comes to m knees - perfect. The fact that the lower back has elastic, was a genius design move on J.Crew Factory's part. The pockets and shoulder straps really help to make this dress a summer staple. I was fortunate enough to snag this baby (size M) early in the morning, after they had all sold out earlier, during the Flash Sale! Whew! The icing on the cake was being able to also snag a pair of the red, ankle-tie Size 8 espadrilles that will go perfectly with this ensemble. Score!!!

I love this dress! The bow detail is adorable and it’s the perfect blend of preppy and beachy. This dress fits true to size, and it hits below mid thigh (I’m 5’8). I dress it down with espadrilles. I don’t think it would look right with anything dressier than wedges. All in all, I’d recommend this dress!

Oh my gosh! I love this dress! It's so cute and so comfortable. It's a great length- just above the knees. It has pockets, which is always a bonus. I got a small and the straps were more like a medium or large but it was super easy to fix that.

This dress runs true to size, compared to other JCrew Factory dresses. I'm a pretty standard size 2, and the XS is a perfect fit. I have a small chest (34A) and can wear this with or without a bra (although the bra will show in the back, unless you wear a NuBra/pasties). I love how versatile this dress is! I wore it with gladiator sandals for a fun, casual dinner out with my husband and kids last week; but I'm also thinking about dressing it up with heels and wearing it for a rehearsal dinner coming up later this month. If you're smaller on top, this is true to size; and the fuller skirt makes it great whether you've got full hips or not! The linen-blend fabric feels great, and it is lined. It's a great dress!
