Business Professional piece will last for long
June 22, 2018I'm shopping for a pencil skirt to replace my old one for a long while. Then, I suddenly found this. After I read the review, I decided to order it with both navy and black. The material is excellent! One of the best wool working skirt I can find recently from the market, and it's very comfortable to wear for work in all seasons in San Francisco. The size is true to size. I wear J.Crew size 2 regular for the pencil skirt. For reference, I'm 5'6", 127lb. I ordered size 4 since a lots of review mention it runs small. However, I think I should be able to wear size 2 as well on a little bit cure side. I ordered all three colors.

Perfect wool skirt!
May 23, 2018I purchased this skirt with the matching wool jacket for an interview. J.Crew pieces are absolutely timeless, well-made and crafted from premium quality materials. This skirt is no exception. It does run just a smidge large, I ordered an eight ( which I would say is my true size) and I could’ve gotten away with a six, it was a bit larger in the waist but I am fairly curvy with wide hips. If you have an athletic build it may be more true to size. Even though this is a factory item, I felt like the quality was identical to anything I would buy in the normal store. The seams were well-finished and the skirt is fully lined. Not that it had anything to do with the suit (or did it?), but I also got the job offer. Thanks, JCF!

Nice small skirt!
February 23, 2018I love the "lightweight" aspect to this skirt. I live in southern California and don't need a heavy wool skirt! It also, for once, fit my narrow hips, which usually cause skirts to fit so poorly that I have to get them taken in! This one fits! (FYI-I'm 5'4", 120 lbs and have a very small frame) So it is true (according to other reviews) that this runs a tad small. Everything else about it is great, just size up maybe!

February 14, 2018Size up! I normally wear a size 0 in factory skirts (5' 3" 120 lbs) but need a 4! This is VERY tight but beautiful!

so snug!!!
February 7, 2018Wanted to love the light gray skirt. I generally wear a size 2 but decided to size up because I don't like a bodycon look for my work attire, so I got the size 4 and it was still way too snug! The waist fit the way I would expect a 2 to fit, but there was no give in the hips or butt and I looked way too bodacious for the office. Sadly, it's going back.
